la maison de l’oenologue

English - Arabic

Poucharramet is a former commandery of the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem. Our house dates from 1743, and is typical of the regional architecture of the time, with its park, its two-hundred-year-old cedar and its courtyard planted with palm trees.

We offer two comfortable bedrooms for 2 people with private bathrooms, one with a 180cm bed, the other with a 140cm bed. A children's bedroom can be added as an extra. The house is decorated in a 1930s style, with a bar, billiards table, sunny terrace, cosy kitchen, large fireplace and grounds. Free parking is available opposite the house. We are 30 km south of Toulouse, with access from the motorway, and the Pyrenees can be seen on the horizon, an hour's drive away. The famous foie gras market at Samatan is just 20 km away, and the Volvestre region, with its hills and small villages, is just a stone's throw away, as is the collegiate church of Saint Bertrand de Comminges. There are many hiking and mountain-biking trails for all abilities, and we'll be happy to point them out to you. If you wish, Pierre Casamayor, a renowned oenologist, can introduce you to wine tasting, and Naima can help you discover the secrets of Moroccan cuisine.
